4487 is a single part epoxy based heat curing ink for application using an open cup pad printing system. It was designed specifically for printing on materials used in the manufacture of electronic components including low stress and conventional molding compounds, ceramic, anodized aluminum, nickel and gold. This ink is suitable for flash curing on in line IR systems and was formulated to provide a wider process window than typical single part inks.

This product is ready for thinning as received. The addition of thinner is necessary to establish a viscosity appropriate for specific applications. Thinning to 3 seconds using the narrow slot spatula provides 3-4 hours of printing before additional thinning is required.
Storage Conditions: Optimum storage condition is at 5-10°C in the original unopened container. Allow ink to warm gradually to room temperature before use
Drying / Curing: IR: 2-3 seconds dwell under IR lamp with a temperature of 175-250°C and a height of 1.5-2.0cm above part surface. Recommended Curing Conditions: 10 min @ 110C

Shelf Life: The shelf life for this ink series is six months from the date of shipment or twelve months from the date of manufacture, whichever is less
