MARKEM has established a position as a global market leader in product identification, marking and coding for a variety of end user markets. MARKEM currently has 17 subsidiary companies and agents and representatives in over 40 countries selling equipment, software, supplies and services. With a global presence, more than half of our company revenue is generated from sales outside the U.S. Through development and change, we have successfully continued to grow in a dynamic marketplace. Some of our largest customers are well-known companies such as Frito-Lay, Inc., Hershey Foods Corporation, E & J Gallo Winery, Procter & Gamble, ConAgra Foods, Inc., General Mills, Nestle, The Pillsbury Company, Quaker Oats Company and M&M/Mars.

MARKEM Corporation designs, develops, manufactures and sells a full line of marking and coding machines and supplies. We have the capability to mark on everything from candy bars to corrugated boxes to printed circuit boards. As an example, every candy bar has an expiration date on each individual primary package. Our machines are integrated into the manufacturer's production line and along with our inks, are used to print the expiration date on each candy bar after it has been wrapped. Similar applications are used to mark bags of potato chips, bottles of shampoo, pharmaceutical blister packs and many other products in the packaging and food industries. MARKEM also supports applications in the electronics industry, marking products from computer chips to printed circuit boards.
